SUPPORT US
KehatiKu is currently funded by Wildlife Futures and The Arcus Foundation, enabling us to work with communities in nine villages. This funding is donor-dependent and currently limits the scale of the programme. Additional support can help us sustain the programme, support more observers and expand into new villages.
Your support pays local observers
KehatiKu observers are paid for verified wildlife observations. Payments vary depending on what they record: a rare species, for example, receives a higher payment than a more common species.
Observers who dedicate significant time to KehatiKu can earn more than they would through other common local employment opportunities.
Your donation could
Support an individual observer
Contribute towards their monitoring for a specific period and, where possible, receive updates and testimonies from them.
Support a village
Help cover observer payments and programme costs for a village over a longer period.
Help expand KehatiKu
Larger donations can help us bring the programme to additional villages.
We can provide estimates of what different contributions could support, including the approximate number of observations or period of observer payments. There is no fixed donation amount: every contribution helps.
